It has been a weekend of farewells as over Friday and Saturday we said goodbye to each of the Kunzite kids, with all of them staying here in Victoria this time around. First to leave was Johnny, now Murphy, who left with Jackie and Ryan. He has lots of training adventures ahead of him as Jackie is super keen to get into dog sports, and will also spend some time in the show ring. Robbie, now Link, was next. He went home with Lisa and Nathan to meet his big Sheltie brother Dance. From all reports the two are getting on famously, and I should still get to see Link on occasion. The adorable Max, who is now Leevi, left with Nicole. He's another who has plenty of training adventures in his future, with agility high on the priority list. He will join us in the show ring when he can, and I expect will create a bit of a sensation! Saturday morning saw Simon and Meagan on my doorstep to pick up Frances, who is now Piper. The show and herding rings are in her future! But in the meantime she has a big Lappie brother Taavi to get to know, whippets to try and chase, and sheep to meet on their country property. Tracey, Glenn and Tiahn were next to pick up the beautiful princess Penny, now Keeko. This adorable girl is just going to be loved and spoiled to death, I am quite sure. We are sure to see much more of us as her family come along to events and activities with her. Last to leave was young Billy, or Finian as he is known. He left to live with James, his young daughter Bella and mum Patricia, with poor Bella having to wait patiently to take her puppy home while we went through the paperwork! He will be very much loved, and who knows, may be another one who gets to have some training fun in the future. So now we have a very quiet house! Although I'm sure it won't be quiet for long as we get back out and about showing, training and trialing. And not soon enough if Baby's conversations with me today have been anything to go by!
