Tortik (Ch Armahani Heliodorr Halu (AI)) and I headed up to Sydney this weekend for the Sydney Royal and the FLCNSW's annual specialty championship show. With the Kunzite litter at home, I wasn't keen on a long trip away, but I'd missed last year's show with pups on the ground (my only specialty missed to date) so I really didn't want to miss a second. So I made it a quick trip, flying up with just one dog rather than a drive with a team. What a great decision that turned to be, with Tortik winning Best in Specialty Show under judge Mr Arne Foss from Norway, from an entry of 62 lappies. I couldn't be prouder of this handsome boy! Huge thanks to owners Kat and CJ who keep letting me steal their boy away. We are having so much fun in the ring together. I also showed little Slinky (Armahani Iolite Ihana (AI)) and her mum Squiggle (Ch & Neut Ch Armahani Diamond Dansut (AI) CCD RA JD HT ET JC FM) in the brace class during property classes, completely untrained, and unused to me as a handler, which made for a very funny showing. But I was super thrilled when we came 3rd placed under judge Mr B Santas. |
