Tortik, Baby and I made our way to the Deniliquin and District Kennel Club's weekend of three shows again this year in Albury, for the annual FLCV and FLCNSW Border Challenge. Joining us was Simone with Piper and Nicole with Loki Bear for the second two shows. Tortik (Sup Ch Armahani Helidorr Halu (AI) RA JC) took Dog Challenge and Best of Breed on days 2 and 3, finishing up with Open in Group on the final day. Baby (Am Ch Ch Calaban's Dirty Dancing RA ET JC (Imp USA)) was 1st in her class also on days 2 and 3, and was reserve bitch challenge on the second day. Loki (Ch Armahani Jade Jylha) did me very proud, going Reserve Dog Challenge and Runner up Best of Breed behind his dad on day 2 for a special father/son occasion. Piper (Ch Armahani Kunzite Kruunu (AI)) lucked out being the most immature looking girl in a very competitive class against two of the top winning bitches in the country. But she still was in fine form, gaining 2nd for the first two days. I was super proud of all the gang, and Tortik and Baby completely showed their heart off for me. Baby in particular I think made me cry on the second day, because she just flew around that ring the best she ever has since before her injury. It was such a joy to have my girl back!

A truly amazing milestone today with the fantastic Benni (Ch Armahani Heliodorr Hulivili (AI) ET) going BEST IN SHOW at the Hound Club of Tasmania's all breed championship show, under NSW judge Ms M Hoy. A huge congratulations to owner and handler Rachael Holloway. While Louis was awarded an all breeds best in show, Benni is the first of Armahani breeding to do so, which makes it all that extra special! A big congratulations to Simone and Meagan today, off to their first performance trial with Piper (Ch Armahani Kunzite Kruunu (AI) at the American Staffordshire Club of Victoria's lure coursing event. With the two passes runs she needed with scores of 85 and 91 she gained her first quallie toward her JC title. Nicole and Leevi (Armahani Kunzite Kuutamo (AI) RA) have been having some great success these last couple of weekends, as their sporting year kicks off. Last weekend Leevi earned the first of his Herding Test passes at the Victorian Herding Association's trial under judge S Donaldson. Then this weekend it was off to Bairnsdale, where he not only earned his forth Novice Jumping quallie, but his first in Open Jumping. An amazing achievement for a boy not yet two years of age |
