It is turning into such an agility year, with this youngster keeping the older kids on their toes. Leevi (Armahani Kunzite Kuutamo (AI) RA JD HT) was at the Action Dog agility trial today where he earned a quallie and 1st place in Novice Agility, and his first games quallie with a 3rd place in Novice Gamblers. After keeping us waiting over a very long day and night, and then almost popping them out at once, Flicka (Ch Armahani Goldstone Ginttal (AI)) gave birth to four precious Lapis Lazulis around lunch time today. There are two boys and two girls for a nice even litter, all black and tan like their sire Ch Aslak av Vintervidda (Imp Nor). Why they are named (temporarily) after characters from the animation Tangled is a bit of an in joke, but we will soon be introducing little Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Arianna and Frederic, so keep an eye on their litter page for photo updates. Our Diamond stars don't get together a lot, but this weekend saw them in Canberra together for a weekend of agility. Despite to what all reports was an entertaining flop at Strategic Pairs together, they both came away with quallies and new titles for the weekend, with Lumi (Grand Ch Armahani Diamond Davvir (AI) CD RA ADX ADO JDX SD SPD GD ET WPD) gaining his Snooker Dog title, and sister Squiggle (Ch Neut Ch Armahani Diamond Dansut (AI) CCD RA ADX JDX SD SPD GD HT ET JC WPD FMX) her Agility Dog Excellent title. Another fantastic weekend with friends in Sydney for the Royal and FLCNSW specialty. I went in with pretty modest expectations if I’m honest, just intending on a fun weekend, a chance to see some different dogs, and the craziness of a road trip driving by myself with 5 dogs (6 coming home)! Cause I’m crazy like that!! But it started in a pretty awesome way with some great placings and then my beautiful Baby at the Sydney Royal gaining a pretty cool 22 point Bitch Challenge and then going Runner up Best of Breed over Tortik (who was Reserve Dog Challenge). Full Royal Results for us (in ring order) under judge Mr D Javor (Croatia):
On to the specialty the next day, under breed specialist Mr E Ruotsalainen (Finland), where we continued with some great placings and lovely critiques. Continuing Tortik’s consistency of high results under visiting specialists and Nordic judges, he was our big star of the day, placed 1st in the Open Dog class and gaining Reserve Dog Challenge. Specialty Results:
,Nicole and Leevi (Armahani Kunzite Kuutamo (AI) RA JD HT) blitzed it today at the Moorabbin Dog Club's agility trial, gaining two Jumping Dog passes with 2nd and 3rd places. They only needed one more pass for his title, so he managed it with a spare, earning his first of I'm sure many to come, agilty titles. My heart is truly broken tonight as we say farewell to my most precious, beloved girl, my beautiful Emmi (Grand Ch Lumiturpa Emmi CCD RE JD HT (Imp Fin)). Truly the most beautiful girl in the world, the matriarchal Queen of not only Armahani, but many of the Finnish Lapphund world in Australia, with a smile that would light up all who gazed upon it. I owe so much to her, and have loved her dearly for the last 14 years. I will miss you every single day. |
