It has been a long time since we've shared any news. With cancellations across 2020, of both events and litters, it was a very different year indeed. My two dogs at home, Baby and Louis, became very used to being at home office dogs, keeping me company underneath my desk each day. And our weekends were spent hanging at home, or taking bush walks when we could. It wasn't until the last part of the year that Liina (Armahani Moonstone Movtta (AI)) and Fleur (Aus Ch Armahani Iolite Ilo (AI) HT), both living in Tasmania where events kicked off sooner than the rest of Australia, became our only two competing Lappies, handled by Rachael Holloway. But they certainly made up for the others. Fleur debuted in the neuter ring, and has been consistently awarded at both the in group and in show level. Liina, one of our youngsters, and having the experience of being a "COVID puppy" from about four to five months of age, had to learn about people and busy events and how to be in the show ring. And she certainly kicked that task, surpassing everyone's expectations at such a young age, and right in the middle of a pretty spectacular junior blow, to take her class in group at almost every show, and now picking up places in the main group as well. She certainly has a bright future in front of her. In the whelping box, COVID meant we delayed the Nacre litter. And then we had to make very quick alternative plans when the semen arriving from overseas was destroyed in transit. Slinky (Aus Ch Armahani Iolite Ihana (AI) ET HT JC WPD FDCh) became the mother of four boys and one girl on the 2 February and you can watch them grow on our Nacre Litter page. The sire is Finnish born, Tori (Am Ch Lecibsin Suoritus). The arrival of these pups means that our own return to the various rings will be delayed somewhat. But we look forward to catching up with our young show team, and competing with Baby, very soon.
