Suoritus is never a boy I was planning on, although his pedigree is certainly a popular one at the moment.  However, when my good friend Vanessa, late of Articmal Finnish Lapphunds, was making decisions on what to do with her frozen semen, she offered me a chance to buy some off her.

While I hadn't thought too much about him before, there was something that appealed, and so I bought a breeding unit more as an impulse than anything else, without too much thought about what I wanted to do with him.

He is a lovely smaller boy, with some refinement that I think has a lot to add in the right combination, and I think when I finally do make some of those decisions, I will be very happy that I made that gut call.  There is a little about him, particularly in his expression that reminds me of my Louis, even though they have vastly different pedigrees.  So I suspect I'm going to be very happy to greet his puppies one day down the track.
