Ressi was a fairly famous Finnish Lapphund, being the first (and so far only) to earn a Working Trial Championship in Finland, as well as for his handsome good looks, and consistent high awarding in the show ring. He was certainly not just a pretty face this one!!
With the most simply gorgeous teddy bear head, incredible coat and bone, Ressi was certainly a boy it was hard to look past. Of superb type! In temperament just plain fun! A happy go lucky, mischievous puppy-like character (even at 8 years of age!!), with an enormous amount of enthusiasm for his work and every other fun activity life can offer up. My main recollection in taking the photos opposite was how he kept breaking away to find leaves and dirt to roll around in, cheekily grinning at us as he "messed himself up" for the photo taking. Believe me, this was one teddy bear you just want to cuddle! Ressi is the sire of our Diamond Litter. Sadly he is no longer with us. |
