This is a litter I have planned and dreamed about for a very very long time, so it is with a great deal of excitement that we welcomed Emmi's latest Christmas babies to our beautiful boy Louis.

Not that I quite expected so many girls, with just the solitary boy, who may just have a pretty hard time of it as he grows. And I certainly didn't expect the one little cream girl amongst our 7 bouncing babes. But Lappies always like to give us the unexpected.

Both funny, and adorably cute, I had so much fun with these babies, and am just thrilled with them.

Our first born girl, Cookie was one of the smallest of the pups, and a pretty little thing. She has one little white toe and a white chest, and is very very cute. She has the prettiest expression and is full of confidence and mischief.

Ceahppi means "skilful" in Sami. She goes to live with Kellie in South Australia, where she will head into the show and agility rings in the future.

Little Taija is a very pretty girl with two white socks and a white chest. She is one of the big girls, and is very strong and healthy. There is always one puppy out of the group that tugs pretty firmly on the heart strings, and Taija was it for me this time around. There is something about that adoring look she gives you as she snuggles close for cuddle time!

Cuovgat means "to shine" in Sami. She goes to live with Cherelle and Lappie Willoughby here in Victoria, but will stay in co-ownership and be shown by me.

Myrre was a surprise package, with her tanpoints an amazing deep rich copper colour. I gave a "wow" at her birth, and I will be very interested to see what her colour does as she grows. She has very little white. She is the funniest, cheekiest and most confident of the puppies and made me laugh every day. She had a particular fondess for chasing her poor dad around.

Ciegus means "secret" in Sami. She goes to live with Anne and Janne in Queensland where Finnish will become her first language, and where she has an obedience career in front of her.

We'll admit to a bit of a cheer of "a boy!" when Dolce was born. He has a white stripe on his forehead, that will be gone once he is grown and a white patch on the back of his neck. He never had any intention of being hen-pecked or mistaken for one of the girls! He is such a character, and tries to be such the little man - I just couldn't help but call him "buster" most of the time.

Caibmat means "to laugh" in Sami. He goes to live with Shareen and Glen and Lappie Mischa in NSW.

Now Kyla was certainly not expected! She was always the fluffiest of the puppies, and is one of those girls who manages to be incredibly sweet and cheeky all at the same time. She has a very special soul and everyone who meets her just falls in love.

Cearpmat means "reindeer calf" in Sami. She is staying in Victoria to live with Michelle, where we hope to see her in the show ring, as well as trying her paw at other doggie persuits, including becoming a Delta dog.

Kirra is the smallest of our puppies, and was hot on the tail of Snowflake, born only ten minutes later. She is another whose tanpoints are a rich copper colour and she will have full facial markings once grown. She may be small, but already she has some attitude! She is a very pretty and quite spunky girl. A beautiful little girl I've had to beat off a couple of people with a stick from smuggling her away.

Cumma means "kiss" in Sami. She will stay here in Victoria where she will be loved by Brett and Belle, who are hoping to try a number of doggie pursuits with her, including showing.

Our biggest puppy, Angel made us wait two and half hours after the two hour race that the birth of the other six was. But clearly she does things her own way, also deciding to have her full markings at birth rather than develop them in the normal way! She is certainly a striking little girl who has a lot of both parents in her. She is very very playful and more than a little bit naughty!

Cappat means "pretty" in Sami. She heads to New South Wales with Liz and Keith, and we hope to hear of her success in the show ring over there.
