With her pretty colouring, and black mask, she certainly gets some attention (and quite a few confused questions from those who haven't seen the colour before). The sable being dominant, it of course comes from her very handsome sire Tiko (Fin Ch Hiidenlahden Tiko) whose semen we imported, and whose owner Minna-Mari we can't thank enough for allowing him to be used over our lovely Veikko. Flicka, who was Digger (our little gold digger) in the litter, and who kept that name for a very long time before adopting her more permanent moniker, was an absolute crazy character of a pup and had us laughing frequently. At the same time, she had the cuddly nature of her mum, and I certainly felt for her during one of our couch cuddles. She very quickly won the heart of her new family, and loves and is shown in the Canberra area by Linda along with her Finnish Spitz brother. |
