Tansijja is my very special girl, as one of the most beautiful pups in my very first litter and also as my first export. She makes her way to Kit Brillinger from Calaban Kennels in Michigan, USA where she joins Lappies Journey, Pilgrim and Chill (and the Akitas of course).

Like all of the girls, she caught my eye from a very early age. As she grew it became clear that she was the pup who looked most like her mum, and very quickly developed the most beautiful feminine expression. She has a lovely presence and cheeky nature, and is a strong and compact little girl with effortless movement which catches the eye.

Kit and I had been speaking about an Emmi pup heading to the USA for a long time. While we didn't expect it to be quite so soon, it gave me great pleasure to be able to send this precious little girl. We hope that in a generation or two, one of her descendents will join us back here.

I was lucky enough to get to keep her here with us for the extra weeks before she was old enough to head off overseas, and it was a sheer joy to watch her grow and a very cheeky personality develop, take her to puppy school, introduce her to lots of new sights, and see her quickly start to lord it over all of the boys in the household. She left here for her new home in March 2008 to lots and lots of tears.

Tanssija is from my gorgeous and stunning Finnish import girl, the famous Emmi (Aus Ch Lumiturpa Emmi (Imp Fnl)), who has fans and reconigition all over the world, and just awes me over and over with her beauty, presence and loving temperament. Her breeding is of some of my favourite lines, and is truly a great success, with her litter brother Eppu being one of the top winning Lappies in Finland at the moment.

Her sire is my handsome and magnificant Kulta (Aus Ch Theldaroy Best Treasure C.C.D.) who is out of two of the earlier imports to Australia, who have had such a strong and impressive mark on the breed in this country. Kulta is the first Finnish Lapphund in Australia to be titled in three disciplines, in his case in conformation, obedience and herding. He is a boy who regularly attracts people with his impressive masculine presence and strong head, and his calm and gentle temperament.

We are really looking forward to posting up lots of news about Tanssija's success in the show ring, and wish Kit every success with her.
