Mischa is from my second litter. A simply beautiful girl, with the prettiest face, she won the hearts of everyone who met her while she was still in the whelping box. She now lives with and is shown by Shareen Chouffot and Glen Brassington in the ACT area, who absolutely adore her.
She is a lovely balanced little girl, with very pretty feminine features, and a spunky loveable attitude. I grew more and more pleased with her as she grew, and am thrilled that the only girl in the Bloodstone litter turned out so nicely. She was the first cream Armahani kid in the show ring, and I'm sure will continue to win hearts.
Mischa was named Twinkle while she was here at Armahani (the Sami word in her registered name means "to twinkle") and she always seemed to live up to it, being such a joyful and cute little girl. In her early weeks I thought she might be a soft and gentle miss, but when she started putting her big bossy brothers very clearly and firmly in their place, it quickly became evident that she has the "girl-power" genes of her mother and grandmother lines. She is one of those girls who you look at her innocent face and just couldn't imagine her ever being naughty ... but don't be fooled!
Mischa's dam is from my first litter, and is my first home bred Australian Champion, the lovely Lahti (Aus Ch Armahani Amethyst Apina) who lives with the Field family, but who joins me in the show ring on special occasions. A delightfully cheeky girl, full of her own mother's spunk and confidence, she is a lovely mix of her dam, my import Emmi (Aus Ch Lumiturpa Emmi (Imp Fnl)) and sire, the handsome Kulta (Aus Ch Theldaroy Best Treasure CCD HT).
Her sire is my co-owned import Alaska (Aus Ch Teelikementten Iikka (Imp Fnl)) who has had a very successful show career in limited campaigning since coming to Australia. Alaska is out of the world famous Multi Ch Lumiturpa Api (a half brother to Emmi's dam) who was the biggest winning Lappie of his day in Finland.
Although originally co-owned by me for my future breeding program, sadly she was diagnosed with a mild case of Geographic Retinal Dysplasia at her opthamology test at almost 2 years of age. Although not impacting on her sight, and as a non-degnerative condition unlikely ever to do so, it did leave Shareen, Glen and I with the heartbreaking decision to remove her from our breeding programs. She is now fully owned by Shareen and Glen and continues her show carer in the neuter class whilst training for an obedience career. We wish them all the best with her in the future, and hope she does us and them very proud.
