Kya's first litter was always planned to be a joint litter between Armahani Kennels and Articmal Kennels under a joint prefix. When ANKC rules changed, leaving us unable to register a joint prefix, we decided to leave this litter with the Articmal prefix.

On the 10th May 2007, 8 lovely puppies were born to Kya and Tarka - 6 boys and 2 girls. Six of these lovely puppies are brown like their dad, and two are black like their mum.

I fell in love with Tarka when I first visited him at Melbourne Quarantine when he was a 16 week old puppy just arrived from Sweden. He was just a lovely solid puppy with a beautiful rear, and the most "fall-in-love-with-in-a-second" expression. He has grown into quite the handsome young man with a luxurious coat, and qualities that we hope will complement our Kya very nicely. This is Tarka's second litter.

Kya is our beautiful, young jointly owned girl who is from the first imported in dam Finnish Lapphund litter in Australia. She has a pretty, dark, feminine head, lovely ear set, beautiful conformation and a soft and gentle temperament, typical of a female Lapphund. She is also a very active girl, known as the "Lapphund Kangaroo" around home. This is Kya's first litter.

† 09/07/07. Buster had the cutest little face with that white spot on his nose, and was an adorable, happy little puppy. He was a much planned surprise for Ray's girlfriend Janaia, who has begging for a long time for a Lappie to join Pippen the Border Collie. Ray had been pretending to resist while plans were in motion for Buster's arrival as his big proposal present (the ring was attached to Buster's collar!). Sadly Buster had only been with Ray and Janaia for a few short days filled with love and joy when his life was tragically taken in an accident. He will be very much missed by all of us.
