Lahti, from my first litter, was the pup who captured my heart right from the beginning. She has always lived with the Field family but joined us in the show ring for special occasions and to finish her title before having the Bloodstone litter at Armahani. She is now desexed and fully owned by the Field family and enjoying her "retirement" with her beloved two legged boys, with regular visits from her son Jari.

At one week of age I noted that she was the pup most likely to be found exploring the whelping box, and that curious nature continued as she grew. She was always first to get into michief with a big grin on her face at all times. She grew into a very pretty girl, with a cheeky nature, and such attitude! I always found her irresistable, and like all the girls in her litter, she had lovely conformation and a beautiful feminine expression.

Her first venture was at the Victorian Spitz Breeds Club 2008 Championship Show where she was best baby of breed from an entry of four babies. Four months later, and after only one short training session she joined us for the Melbourne Royal, where she surpassed all my expectations by not only winning Puppy of Breed, but also gaining the reserve bitch challenge from an entry of 10 females (8 present), only beaten by her mum. The next year at the next Victorian Spitz Breeds Club Championship Show she went from having been baby of breed to going Best of Breed! She earned her title in the middle of 2009.

She had a litter of four beautiful puppies to Ch Teelikamentten Iikka (Imp Fnl) in late 2009, surprising (not shocking!) us with three cream pups amongst the litter. Two of her sons, and her only daughter are now following in her paw-prints in the show ring.

Lahti is from my gorgeous and stunning Finnish import girl, the famous Emmi (Aus Ch Lumiturpa Emmi (Imp Fnl)), who has fans and reconigition all over the world, and just awes me over and over with her beauty, presence and loving temperament. Her breeding is of some of my favourite lines, and is truly a great success, with her litter brother Eppu being one of the top winning Lappies in Finland at the moment.

Her sire is my handsome and magnificant Kulta (Aus Ch Theldaroy Best Treasure C.C.D.) who is out of two of the earlier imports to Australia, who have had such a strong and impressive mark on the breed in this country. Kulta is the first Finnish Lapphund in Australia to be titled in three disciplines, in his case in conformation, obedience and herding. He is a boy who regularly attracts people with his impressive masculine presence and strong head, and his calm and gentle temperament.
