RIP Little Buster. Much Loved. Forever Young.
Buster was a puppy that you couldn't help fall in love with from the moment he was born, with that gorgeous little white stripe on his nose. He was the puppy in his litter that got the most comments as the growing up photos were posted. Everyone's favourite was little "Cinnamon".
The lucky people who Buster was to make his home with were a lovely couple Ray & Janaia in Sydney. Except while the pups were growing, ready to leave their mum, Janaia was none the wiser that a baby boy was coming her way. Jay had been longing for a Lappie for a long time, and begging Ray for a second dog to be a companion to Pippen the Border Collie. But he had been pretending to resist.
In reality, Ray was always planning on a surprise puppy, and we loved being in on the secret as he planned the day Buster would come home. The day he planned to not only surprise Jay with Buster, but also with a diamond ring attached to his collar.
Jay rang us the evening Buster had arrived, full of joy and excitement at her engagement and her beautiful baby boy. We were estatic to hear just how happy they were, and how much in love they were with little Buster.
Sadly, only five days after Buster became a member of their family, he died in a tragic accident, breaking theirs and our hearts.
Ray and Jay wrote us these words:
"We wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for letting Buster into our lives. In the 5 short days he was with us, he brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. He was a very special little guy and meant the world to us.
From the very first moment Buster came into our lives we knew he was special. We don’t think any dog had more cuddles from us and all our friends in the past few days.
We’re sad for all the moments were going to miss out on like his first tooth falling out, enjoying his first bone and his first day at the park as a ‘big kid’. And it breaks our hearts that Pip has lost her little brother.
We wanted to email you today, not to make you even sadder, but to share a little bit of what Busters life with us was like. We’re truly sorry for the loss you must be feeling too. Yesterday was probably one of the saddest days of both our lives.
Having Buster in our lives these past few days have been an incredibly happy time for us along with the excitement of our engagement. We’ll never forgot him."
