Ahti is from my second litter. A very handsome boy right from the start, the favourite of others who came to visit, it was only my intention to only keep one boy and girl from the litter in joint ownership, that meant he was offered to Melissa and James, who had been waiting quite a while for a handsome Lappie boy to joint their growing doggie family. When I next saw him at five months of age I was so impressed with how he was looking, so that when Melissa indicated she was interested in showing, I was more than willing to encourage the suggestion. On their request, I have agreed to co-own Ahti with them while they "find their feet" so to speak.

He is a very handsome boy, with lovely balance and structure, and true movement, like his beautiful sire. An active yet content pup, he is developing a little of his grandsire Kulta's attitude to life. Happy to be the man of the house, surveying his domain with calmness, keeping a happy watch over his owners, and secure with all that life throws his way, with a touch of cheekiness and playfulness that emerges when least expected.

Ahti was called Frost in the whelping box which is the English translation of his Sami name, and seemed to so suit him. He is the first cream pup ever born at Armahani, although most certainly not the last, being joined shortly after by his cream sister and brother! But I certainly got a shock when he was born.

Ahti's dam is from my first litter, and is my first home bred Australian Champion, the lovely Lahti (Aus Ch Armahani Amethyst Apina) who lives with the Field family, but who used to join me in the show ring on special occasions. A delightfully cheeky girl, full of her own mother's spunk and confidence, she is a lovely mix of her dam, my import Emmi (Aus Ch Lumiturpa Emmi (Imp Fnl)) and sire, the handsome Kulta (Aus Ch Theldaroy Best Treasure CCD HT).

His sire is my co-owned import Alaska (Aus Ch Teelikementten Iikka (Imp Fnl)) who has had a very successful show career in limited campaigning since coming to Australia. Alaska is out of the world famous Multi Ch Lumiturpa Api (a half brother to Emmi's dam) who was the biggest winning Lappie of his day in Finland.

We wish Melissa all the best with him in the show ring, and in her and James' lives, and hope he does us and them very proud.
